Getting Started
Sign in with your Google account, then click "Submit Your Story" on the homepage. Fill in the form with your story title, content, genre, and other details. You get 1 free submission per round. Hit submit and you're in!
No — you can browse the site freely without an account. You only need to sign in when you want to submit a story or make a purchase.
Google OAuth provides a secure, password-free login experience. It reduces the risk of weak passwords and account takeovers, keeping your credits and submissions safe. We don't store any passwords.
Submission Rounds
A round is a timed submission window. Each round has a Submission Phase (when stories can be submitted), a Story Selection Phase (when our team reviews and picks the best stories), and a Game Development Phase (when selected stories become games). When a round closes, a new one opens.
Every user gets 1 free story submission per round by default. This resets each new round automatically. If you want to submit more stories in the same round, you can purchase extra submission slots for $3 each.
No — free submission slots reset per round and do not carry over. However, any purchased extra upload slots do carry over and remain on your account until used.
Each round has a cap of 100 story submissions. Once that limit is reached, the round is full. If a round fills up before the deadline, your remaining time is shown in the countdown. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Story Selection & Production
Our team reviews all submissions during the Story Selection Phase. We evaluate stories based on atmosphere, originality, pacing, and how well the concept translates into interactive gameplay. We aim to select stories that would create genuinely terrifying and memorable horror game experiences.
Don't give up! You can resubmit (an updated version of) your story in a future round. Many great writers are selected on their second or third attempt. Take the time to refine your story and try again — the Void is patient.
Tales from the Void owns the game (code, assets, UI). You retain copyright over your original story. You'll be credited as the original story author in the game itself. If your story is selected, we'll contact you to sign a formal adaptation agreement before development begins.
Fast Track
Fast Track is a premium tier that guarantees your story gets turned into a game, no selection process, no uncertainty. For $300, your story skips the queue and enters our production pipeline immediately. Our dev team reaches out within 24 hours and you'll have a finished game in approximately 2 weeks.

Fast Track payments are non-refundable once production has begun (within 24 hours of purchase). If you change your mind within 24 hours and production hasn't started, contact us at support@talesfromthevoid.entrext.com and we'll review your request.
Payments
Yes. All payments are handled by DodoPayments, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never see or store your card number. After a successful payment, DodoPayments sends us a secure webhook notification, and we credit your account accordingly.
Credit updates can occasionally take a minute due to webhook processing. Try refreshing the page after 1-2 minutes. If your credits still haven't appeared after 10 minutes, contact us at support@talesfromthevoid.entrext.com with your payment confirmation and we'll resolve it promptly.
